I’ll be performing some real ~New York~ theatre (i.e. after three rehearsals and barely memorized) for Two Headed Rep’s annual fundraiser! The piece I’m in is written by Lily Akerman and directed by Joan Sergay.

Haven

I recently shot a short film with an incredible team. Click the link below to check out what it’s about and if you want to be a cool person:

Directed by Mary Zimmerman. A co-production with Berkeley Rep and the Guthrie Theater. We got wet.

“Even if you’ve heard the hype about Mary Zimmerman’s Tony-winning adaptation of Ovid’s myths, Berkeley Rep’s revival, which opened Thursday, Jan. 31, 20 years after the company first produced it, exceeds expectation…Her cast seems to [be] from a realm outside of time.” - San Francisco Chronicle

“The evening’s most affecting coups offer new views of familiar myths — the first, with Eurydice (Suzy Weller) replaying her farewell in an exquisitely choreographed episode…” - San Francisco Examiner

The entire ensemble - [including] Suzy Weller as Eurydice - is pretty flawless.” - Minneapolis Star Tribune

“The performers hit every beat in a show that’s often amusing, repeatedly poignant, and constantly engaging.” - City Pages

The Wolves

“No. 46 (Suzy Weller) demonstrated an uncanny ability to bend the ball to her will.” -The Gainesville Sun

42nd Humana Festival

In addition to being in the PTC production You Across From Me, I played Samantha in Mark Schultz's Evocation to Visible Appearance, directed by Les Waters.

"The central figure is Samantha , played by Suzy Weller... It is an extraordinary, career-defining performance that highlights not only her remarkable abilities but the impact the Roy Cockrum Foundation grant to the PTC is already exerting on the national theater scene."-Leo Weekly

"Suzy Weller nails the affectless attitude of the teenage girl lost to ennui..." -Arts Louisville

"Left the audience as mystified as any I've ever seen." -New York Times

TV Debut

My first network premiere in which I played the supporting role of Rachel! It was an honor to work with the stars of the film, Marguerite Moreau, Mary Katherine Duhon, and Jake Allyn.

Actors Theatre of Louisville

I was honored to be an apprentice in the 17'-18' Professional Training Company! I did not drink too much bourbon. Not at all.

"Suzy Weller's superb, low-key performance was almost the mirror reverse of Freihofer's making Carol seem defenseless, emotionally naked and vulnerable...Weller never quite lost our empathy, but gradually, by degrees, became cooler, more collected, and ruthless." -The Oklahoman
